ANTIOXIDANT MANNITOL: PROTECTIVE ACTION

Mannitol is an antioxidant incorporated in DESIRIAL® products to limit the deterioration of the gel immediately after the injection.

It collects the free radicals generated by the penetration of the needle or cannula during the injection. As a result, mannitol helps to protect the hyaluronic acid molecules during the first hours after the injection.

This technology involves the interpenetration of two single-phase cross-linked hyaluronic acid networks to stabilize the hyaluronic acid for safe and long-lasting therapeutic effects.
