Aesthetic mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a French therapeutic technique that consists of injecting micro quantities of multivitamin cocktails directly into the dermis according to the indication and the results desired by the patient.

Mesotherapy consists of local micro-injections of medication made through the skin, very superficial and not very painful. These injections can be intra-epidermal, superficial intradermal or deep (between 1 and 13 mm).

The injection in small quantities enables the penetration of products that previously remained only on the surface.

The product used during the mesotherapy session will then be diffused directly into the targeted area.

It was Dr. Pistor who developed this aesthetic medicine procedure. In 1968 Michel Pistor presented a thesis on mesotherapy to the Academy of Medicine. From that time on, mesotherapy developed in the medical profession. His motto: « few, rarely and in the right place»...

Mesotherapy is a safe and effective procedure performed by a doctor qualified to perform the technique. It is practiced with a hypodermic needle (ultra-thin) and short for an injection in the superficial dermis.

Micro-needling: no more needles, hello tools

What is micro-needling?

Micro-needling helps to increase the effects of anti-aging treatments

Micro-needling is a technique that consists of micro-perforating the surface of the skin with an electric pen, an injector gun or a small roller called a derma-roller or meso-roller. Each of these has many tiny needles

The principle of micro-needling is to reactivate the production of collagen, stimulate the healing process of the dermis, activate the microcirculation and make the anti-aging products used penetrate more deeply. The goal is to make anti-aging products more effective by using this new application technique.

The treatment is proposed to people who wish to regain a fresh and clear complexion.

It is indicated to repair a tired or dull gray complexion. It is also used to treat fine lines and dilated pores.

Micro-needling is also the solution for people with acne scars or stretch marks,

The face and body can be treated with micro-needling.

The process of a micro-needling session:

  • The doctor begins by determining the area to be treated. The speed and depth of the micro-perforations then depend on the type of skin, the desired results and the associated product.
  • After disinfecting, he applies the product he wants to penetrate (based on vitamins, hyaluronic acid or amino acids...) to nourish and improve the skin.
  • He makes several movements with the electric pen (MesoPen, DermaPen etc.) on the area to be treated in order to reach the different layers of the skin.
  • Small amounts of bleeding may appear, often with reddened skin and no blood. On the other hand, a large volume of blood is abnormal and requires to stop the treatment. Micro-needling is not a vampirelift.

Micro-needling improves the skin's radiance, refines the skin's texture and reduces fine lines, wrinkles and creases, especially on the cheeks.

The technique makes the skin smoother, the patient has the sensation of a lifting effect.

The treatment reduces the excessive production of sebum, responsible for oily skin. Micro-needling reduces stretch marks.

It is recommended to perform 3 to 5 sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart depending on the indication.

A maintenance session is performed once or twice a year.

The side effects of micro-needling are minimal, and the aftereffects of a session are simple. We can observe the persistence of light redness on the skin, this one becoming more sensitive for 2 days but not requiring in any case a social eviction.

It is advisable to use a healing cream to accelerate the healing process as well as sun protection in the days following the procedure.

In any case, it is necessary to avoid any exposure to the sun during the 15 days following the session.

MICRONEEDLING IS PRACTICED WITH AN ACCESSORY, OFTEN A DERMAROLLER. A DOCTOR WILL USE A DERMAROLLER WITH NEEDLES LARGER THAN 0.5 MM.

Micro-needling at home: It is currently possible to practice mini sessions of micro-needling at home using the Derma Roller with needles of less than 0.25 mm. Micro-needling at home is the subject of an article: click here to learn more!

MESOLIFT: Bio revitalization

What is Mesolift?

The Mesolift is a revitalization treatment for sagging skin, it is used for the face, chest and hands. Its specificity lies in the type of product injected.

A Mesolift is a micro-needling with a cocktail of vitamins and non-cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid* with a photobiostimulation.

* The Mesolift is based on the application of a nutritious mixture of pure hyaluronic acid, vitamins and minerals with hydrating and antioxidant properties.

These injections are performed with a very fine and short needle or a gun and the process is not very painful

It is often referred to as SKINBOOSTER. The products used for Skinbooster are often more stable than others and their effect lasts longer.

No anesthesia is required. In case of hypersensitivity to pain, an anesthetic cream can be applied 30 minutes before the session. Mesolift is the ideal treatment for facial rejuvenation and prevention of aging because the products are injected directly into the skin, and their penetration is guaranteed compared to creams.

The indications are:

  • Treatment of thin and dehydrated skin
  • Treatment of a skin lacking firmness with associated fine lines.
  • Irregular complexion lacking radiance

Thanks to its properties, it is also used for the treatment of acne scars if combined with micro-needling (then in the skin using a Dermaroller or a mesotherapy pen).

The injected products are adapted to the indication and the quality of the skin to be treated.

Depending on age, skin condition and desired results, 3 to 5 sessions are required at 15-day intervals, followed by 1 maintenance session every 3 to 6 months.

The protocols are personalized according to the differences of each patient's skin.

On the face, the skin will gain in elasticity, firmness and hydration. The complexion will be more luminous and uniform with a reduction in fine lines.

The results obtained last and improve progressively over the sessions.
