 1. Reminder of the factors that can lead to alopecia (hair loss).

In everyday life, hair loss is a normal process that contributes to the renewal of the hair.

Losing 50 to 150 hairs per day is normal. However, in certain circumstances, such as stress or hormonal imbalance, hair loss can be more severe and there is also a hereditary factor.

When hair loss becomes abnormally severe, it is called alopecia.

The major factor in hair loss is heredity, we speak of androgenetic alopecia. It affects more men than women because of the sensitization of the follicles to the action of testosterone and 5 alpha reductases, which leads to the fragility of the hair before its total disappearance.

At the hormonal level: It is not uncommon, at the menopause or following childbirth, to observe significant hair loss in women.

Stress also disrupts the functioning of the follicle because of its disruptive effect on the adrenal glands.

  2. Reminder on mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a medical technique originally discovered in France in 1950 by the general practitioner Michel Pistor. It consists of injecting small doses of medication under the dermis near the area to be treated.

Mésotherapy = Micro-injection technique to stimulate the injection area.

Mesotherapy is known in aesthetic medicine for skin tightening (mesolift or microneedling) and is also a common treatment for hair loss. It is a micro-injection technique.

With micro needles, a cocktail of amino acids, antioxidants, minerals (zinc, copper) and vitamins isinjected directly into the scalp.

Nearly painless, the method helps to revive the vascularization of the hair follicle, while providing it with nutrients.

Benefits of mesotherapy: the injected substances act directly, without having to pass through the digestive and bloodstream tracts, as would be the case with a pill. It provides an additional mechanical action.

 3. What is hair mesotherapy?

Hair mesotherapy is a solution to stimulate hair growth.

This technique consists of injecting different cocktails of vitamins into the dermis of the scalp to nourish the hair follicle in depth. The aim of this treatment is to normalise hair loss and increase hair density. The aim of mesotherapy on the scalp is to stimulate the hair bulbs in the long term.

A mixture of vitamins is used to treat the hair and improve the blood circulation and oxygenation of the scalp.

The vitamins are injected directly into the capillary dermis, so mesotherapy will have maximum effectiveness.

Generally speaking, it takes 5 weeks of treatment to notice a significant slowdown in hair loss and sometimes an increase in hair mass.

Hair mesotherapy also provides hydration and nutrition to the hair, and also helps to restore shine and volume. Professional mesotherapy helps to calm irritated scalps.

Hair mesotherapy can be done in a doctor's office, this is the best solution, but you can also do your own mesotherapy sessions at home, as long as you have the right products and the technique!

This solution is ideal and more economical.

4 - What are the indications for hair mesotherapy?

Hair mesotherapy is a solution for men and women whose hair needs to be stimulated.

It is particularly indicated in the following cases:

  • Thin and dull hair
  • Localized or diffuse early hair loss
  • Androgenetic hair loss

What are the results?

  • A slowing down of hair loss
  • An increase in hair thickness
  • Denser hair in the best cases

Potential contraindications:

They are rare, but there are some contraindications to a mesotherapy session to fight hair loss:

  • Infectious scalp lesions
  • Shingles
  • Allergies to one of the components injected

5. Perform your hair mesotherapy session from home

What you need to perform hair mesotherapy:

  1. 1 Dermaroller 0,5 mm
  2. 1 box of NCTF 135 HA FILLMED or Haircare Revitacare

The treatment is performed on a clean and disinfected scalp (shampoo with products such as Cyteal or Betadine foaming)

  • Disinfect the Dermaroller and the areas to be treated.
  • Using the Dermaroller, apply the equivalent of one vial of product to all areas of the scalp where density is being lost. Several movements on the same area are necessary. Apply medium pressure so that the scalp reddens, while avoiding bleeding.
  • Gently massage the treatment areas.
  • Apply a healing cream.
  • Do not shampoo the same day.

Repeat the session the following week. Once a week for 5 weeks.

Then in maintenance: 1 session per month and then spaced out to 1 session every 3 months.
